Doors, bam

Gaping maw

→ | have always been fascinated by abandoned buildings but lacked the
courage to start exploring them. However, with the purpose of artmaking, I have realized that by seeking out and photographing these spaces, I can document them before they're gone
while at the same time creating beautiful art. I started this investigation and
soon my goal became to answer questions about how structures fall apart
and what is left behind when their occupants decide to move on. I learned
that decay creates colors, textures, and shapes that were never there before
while the items left behind demonstrate elements like time, hierarchy, and
scale. Decay, while destructive, is incredibly creative.
